ABILITY LEVELS

MULTI WEEK PROGRAMS (KIDS & ADULTS)

Level 1

01

I have never put ski boots on before. I do not know how to put my boots and skis on my feet. I need an introduction to how my equipment works before learning anything else.

Level 2

02

I have put ski boots and skis on my feet before. I can get around on flat ground with my skis on. I can slow myself down by making a snowplow with my skis. I need a reminder for how to stop and an introduction to turning.

Level 3

03

I can confidently ski on the bunny hill by myself using my turns both left and right. I am very confident that when I am asked to stop I can do so safely, smoothly and quickly. I need an introduction on how to use the chairlift safely and ski on some new terrain.

Level 4

04

I have ridden a chairlift before and can ski some easy green runs all by myself using my snowplow. I can keep my speed under control using my turns. Now I would like to learn to bring my skis out of a snowplow so I can explore more runs.

Level 5

01

I can confidently ski by myself on all green runs with my skis matching (parallel) at the ends of my turns. I have skied on some blue runs and find that when it's a little steeper I like to use my snowplow. I'd really like to be able to use parallel skiing all of the time as my legs get tired from snowplowing.

Level 6

02

I can confidently ski parallel on any blue run and even when it gets a little steeper I do not need my snowplow anymore. I have skied on black runs before but sometimes have to use my snowplow when it's very steep. I'd like to know how to be more confident with my parallel skiing so I can start to enjoy and explore all of the terrain on the mountain.

Level 7

03

I can now keep my skis parallel with confidence on all of the black runs. I have even tried to ski in the glades and in the moguls to see if I can keep my skis parallel, I love the challenge. I really want to learn how to ski the tough stuff effortlessly and make it look like a pro.

Level 8

04

Having skied everywhere on the mountain in parallel, I'm ready to learn some freestyle skiing. It would be great if someone could show me how to ski safely in the park and teach me some tricks along the way. I still love skiing all over the mountain so I don't have to spend all of my time in the park.

Please be aware that whichever level you book if you find it difficult to balance over, or turn to your toe edge we will begin with an introduction or refresher of how to balance over the toe edge in level 2.

Level 1

01

I have never put snowboard boots on before. I do not know how to put my boots on my feet. I need an introduction to how my equipment works before learning anything else.

Level 2

02

I have put snowboard boots and my board on my feet before. I can get around on flat ground with my board on. I can slow myself down on my heel edge and even control which direction I slide in. I need a reminder of how to balance over my toe edge and an introduction to turning.

Level 3

03

I can confidently ride on the bunny hill by myself linking my heel-side and toe-side turns. I am very confident that when I am asked to stop I can do so safely, smoothly and quickly. I need an introduction on how to use the chairlift safely so I can ride some new terrain.

Level 4

04

I can confidently ride on all green runs linking my heelside and toeside turns. On steeper blue runs sometimes I stay on my heel edge until I feel comfortable making my next turn. I'd like to be able to keep my flow on steeper blues so I can explore more challenging terrain.

Level 5

05

I can confidently ride on all blue and black runs linking my heel-side and toe-side turns. I can even make different sizes and shapes of turn when I choose to. I am confident and can keep my flow even when it gets very steep. It would be great if someone could show me how to ride safely in the park and teach me some tricks along the way. I still love riding all over the mountain so I don't have to spend all of my time in the park.
